Segmenting Powerpoint Page

Is it possible to break up a page in power point into different
segments and thoes segments can do different things?

Hi

Im wanting 3 sections really 1 on the left that has different news, a
centre with all the information and another section on the right for
other stuff. i am hoping that with this i can have mini presentations
in each section going through different things.

i am using powerpoint 2003. but i do have 2007.
