"Select a SQL Server" message help

Hello,

When i attempt to open the sample database(Northwind
Sample Access Project) in Access 2002, i get a message:
"Microsft Access could not find either Microsoft SQL
Server 200 Desktop Engine or Microsoft SQL Server
installed on your computer."...

Yet i have MSDE running for another application on this
computer. The icon appears in the system tray with the
green arrow on it and i can look at all of the menu
options from it.

Any help would be appreciated.
