Select Cells

I have a huge spreadsheet. For example, from A1 to A1000
is filled up with content. B1 to B1000 is empty. How can I
quickly select B1:B1000?

Thanks !

Hi Eileen

click in the name box (little box to left of formula bar above the letter
"A") and type
B1:B1000
and press enter

IMO, neither of these qualifies as quick, but they work:

- Press CTRL+G (or F5), the Go To command. Type B1:B1000 in the box.

- Select A1, then press END, then the DOWN arrow key. That will take you to
A1000. Then press the RIGHT arrow key to move over to B1000, then hold down
the SHIFT key and press END,UP. That will select B1:B1000, with B1000 the
active cell. You can press ENTER or TAB to get up to B1.

If B1001 were not empty, you could move to B1, then press SHIFT+END,DOWN to
select B1:B1000.
