Select Heading1 fails only in Macro

Would someone tell me why my Select Heading1 Macro fails at the line below?
I can select Heading1 manually however in a Macro is fails and I get "Char
Char" instead of Heading1. I tried to replace char char with Heading 1 to no
avail.

Selection.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles(" Char Char")
ActiveDocument.Save
