Select more than one query/object won't work

Usually, holding down the shift key and selecting objects will allow me to
select multiple objects (i.e. queries), but for some reason it is not working.
Any ideas on this?

Under what circumstances? No version of Access that I know of will let
you select multiple objects in the database window.
