Selected shape in canvas

Hi all

I have a canvas in Word 2007 with several shapes in it. Later on I want to
change some properties (lik the position) on the shape the user has selected.
But with "Selection.ShapeRange.Top" I get invalid values.
How can I access the selected item in a canvas?
