Selecting ALL in MSIE

What is the programmic equivalent doing this :

Open an html file stored locally on your hard drive using Internet Explorer,
doing a "Select All" and then a "Copy" so that a copy of it is on the
clipboard ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
