selecting graphic which is behind text

HI all

I am having problems with Word2002. When I place a
graphic behind text using the format picture command
(right click on graphic, then select format picture,
layout tab --one of the layout options is behind text)
and deselct the graphic to do other work, I cannot then
go back and select the graphic again to move it, change
layout etc.

In previous versions, I could simply go in and click to
select the graphic and make the change. Do I need to do
something different?

Thanks for you help!!

AJ,

Point to Toolbars on the View menu and click Drawing to display the Drawing
toolbar (it will be checked if it is already displayed); it will appear at
the bottom of your display
Click the Select Objects button (a white arrow near the left end of the
toolbar)
Click anywhere in your graphic
You'll see a rectangle with white sizing handles
When you're done with formatting, etc., either click the Select Objects
button or press ESCAPE
