Selecting recipients

When I select "NEW" to start a new message and click on "TO" to pick my recipients, the box that comes up displays all of the people that I have in my CONTACTS, even if they do not have an email address. The email address space is blank. How can I set it up so that only my CONTACTS with email addresses are displayed? Thanks in advance.

it should only show addresses with email and fax entries (a fax number is a
valid electronic address)

Thanks for your suggestions. I have Outlook 2000 so I don't know if it matters. I have more come up than just email and fax. I have them coming up if they have only the name and a business phone. I looked at each of the tabs for the contact to ensure that there were no bits and pieces left but there aren't.

Then you aren't using the Outlook Address Book.
You should always post your mail support mode to get an accurate answer for
Outlook 98/2000.
You are obviously using IMO mode. It uses the Windows Address Book, so
cannot be configured the way you want.

I apologize for not giving enough information. I don't know how to set my outlook up any other way. When I open outlook, the folders on the left side include calendar and contacts. This is how I access my contacts and where my email addresses are stored. What does IMO mean? Is there another group that I can ask this question of? Just trying to learn.

Outlook 98 and 2000 exist in two different mail support modes--practically
two completely different programs that function nothing alike.
Read about the difference here:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm
IMO = Internet Mail Only.
You can always switch to the Corp/Workgroup mode to get the full version of
Outlook, but you should look carefully at all the differences to see which
is actually the better choice for your needs.
