Thank you and I understand, but let me get back to my original question, do
you know of any template for book publishing?

Hi, Mary ... I just bought my fourth version of Publisher ... it has been
awhile since I used it, but back when I was using Ofc 2000 Small Business
and Publisher 2002, I created some very long booklets and hundreds of pages
recipe books with great success. Back then, I think the max number of pages
was something like 999, then you had to start a new publication, adjusting
your starting page numbering system.

Has Publisher moved away from robustness in the big pub category? I better
get back into the Help files and look around ... check the number of masters
per pub ... things may have changed a lot ... do you know what the max
number of pages per pub is now with Publisher 2007?

Thanks ... vanilla

I don't know if there is a limit on pages, I suspect it has more to do with the
robustness of your computer rather than the robustness (is that a word?) of the
program.
The OP wanted a template for a technical book, without knowing anymore than
that, I suggested Word. When you use Publisher for long documents there is the
issue of text boxes.

" ... robustness of your computer ... " ... amen to that! And no doubt
very true ...

Robustness may seem awkward but it is the noun variant ... and I had
forgotten the pain of importing a text doc and having it create 40 pages of
connecting boxes, which then had to be resized, moved, snapped to grid,
adjusted for wrap around pix ... but, I always had far more luck in
Publisher than Word ... I think I just never learned how to properly use
Word ... I would get too frustrated with inline images not going where I
wanted ...

thanks ... vanilla
