Semi-Automatic Rules

When using the feature "Set rules for automatically accepting changes"
there is a note that reminds you that "You must click Run Rules Now
each time you want to run rules to process your messages".

This is not exactly automatic.

Does anyone know how to get the rules to run (really) automatically?

You can't get the rules to really, really run automatically. :)

Microsoft's assumption is that the project manager needs to be at least
minimally involved with processing task updates, therefore, they require you
to press that little button. Frankly, I think this requirement is a good
thing. The project manager is the gatekeeper between team members and the
actual project plan, and needs to confirm that each team member's task
updates conform to your company's standards. How else will you know when a
team member "fat fingers" 22 hours of work on a task, when they actually
meant to type 2 hours of work? So, to answer your question, the answer is
no. The best you can do is manually run rules by clicking the button. Hope
this helps.
