send an attachment and NOT include cc recipients?

Is there a way to send a (fairly large) data file to a recipient and exclude
the attachment for the cc folks? They are usually the ones requesting that
data be sent to someone else and want to know that it's sent, but either have
Blackberries and/or dial-up connections and have no use for the data file.
