Send Button Disappeared

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop My "Send" button has disappeared for any New, Forwarded or Replied email's.

I can send New, Forwarded or replied emails, but only by way of the below methods.

For a new email: I can only send them if I save them to "draft's" then go into draft's and place the mouse over the email and right click, then click the "Send Now" from the pull down menu.

For a Reply/Forwarded email: I can do the same as a new email or I can click on the "Message" pulldown menu listed on the top Banner and click "Send Message Now".

I can also use the appropriate keyboard commands for the above scenarios as well.

I would really just like to have the "SEND" button back on the emails the way it used to be. How can I get this back...?

Thoughts / feedback...?

Hi Gerald,

you should find that there is a Send Message Now option in the Message
menu in the menu bar. You can also simply hit Cmd+Return to send a message.

To solve your problem: is it just the send button, or have the other
buttons (Priority, Signature, Flag, etc.) disappeared as well? If yes,
simply click on the tiny pill-shaped button in the upper right corner of
the message window. This button hides the toolbar, and clicking it a
second time will bring it back again. This is a Mac OS X feature that
you can find in many other applications, too.

If it is just the Send button which is missing, ctrl-/right-click the
toolbar and select Customize Toolbar. While in Customize mode, drag the
Send button to the toolbar, then click on OK.

I have been having the same problem with the missing "send" button.
How very odd. Your suggestions, Michel, worked perfectly. Thanks.
Control send works and the oval button in the upper right hand corner
reveals the tool bar that was inadvertently hidden when replying to
messages. Yeah! What a relief to solve that problem.

I have a 10.6.8 and am missing the send button only on my reply mail. I tried to do the right click and customize, but the send button is not one of the options.

I would love a fix!

Thanks,
Teri
