Send email notification when new item is added to calendar?

Hi

I have a boss/secretary combo. Boss has a blacbkberry, and creates new
appointments on the device. He syncs it. Secretary has no idea he
just created 10 new appointments 6 months in the future.

Is there any way to script something that would send an email
notification when a new item is added to a personal calendar?

Environment:
SBS2003 with shared calendars already set up.
