Check that the "Receive" option is ticked under Tools, Send/Receive,
Send/Receive Settings, Define Send/Receive Groups, Edit.

yes, it's set at smtp.central.cox.net

Sorry - SMTP wouldn't have help at all !!! That is to send emails.
If you run the "Test Account Settings" do you get any specific errors?

I did a search on the internet and found that I needed to check the log on to
incoming mail server before sending mail and that fixed it.... Thanks for
