I need to recall a message but it's not saved in my send box! Is
there any
way I can do this. Please help
Are you using Exchange as your mail server? If so, you have maybe a
20% chance of successfully recalling a message so the recipient does
see it. If you sent through a POP3 server, you have absolutely no
control after you gave it to the mail server. It's gone. Now you'll
have to figure out how to apologize to the recipient for your
nastygram, or tell them you were wrong and send them another new
e-mail with the corrected information.
There is no "send box" in Outlook. There is a "Sent Items" folder.
Is that what you meant to say? If so, are you saying there is no copy
of your sent e-mail in that folder (that you want to recall)? Then
maybe it is still sitting in the Drafts or Outbox folders, or maybe
you never did send it. The default config for Outlook is to save a
copy of a sent e-mail in the Sent Items folder. Maybe you changed
Outlook to save the copy of the sent e-mail in the same folder for the
e-mail to which you replied; i.e., the sent item was a reply, the
original was in a different folder, you configured Outlook to save
replies in the same folder as the original, so the sent copy is in the
same folder as the original. That would only apply if you replied to
an e-mail rather than create a wholly separate new one.
