Good day and thank you in advance for your help.

I use MS Outlook Version 9. I'd like to find out if I can send pictures in the BODY of the message, not as attachments, and if it is possible, how to do so. I've tried the "Help", using what seemed to be appropriate keywords, but no luck. Is it possible to do this? I can do it with Outlook Express but seemingly not with Outlook.

What happens if you right click on a picture in IE for instance and then start a new email in Outlook and right click in the message body and do a paste?

I am runnning Outlook 11 and that is what I do, however I don't know if that is a new feature since 9.

You need to create your message in HTML format and embed the images in the
body with Insert>Picture

Thank you,Sander -

Right-clicking a picture, then choosing "Send to - Mail Recipient" creates
an attachment. The same is true with copy-and-paste.

Thank you, Brian. Do I understand this to mean that I would have to create a
mini-Web page for each outgoing message? Thanks, both again and in advance.

In essence, yes, although operationally, you'll just be creating a message.
You won't see the HTML as you compose it.

Hi All, two things (well, one + a half, really)

1. not trying to teach you to suck eggs but just explaining how I do it (in
case that helps) ...
Problem: In Outlook, HTML format emails, the "Insert Picture" option
seemed to disappear round about june2004 :(
Solution: (a) open a new email in HTML format, (b) find the picture you
want to embed, do a right-click on it and Send To internet explorer - this
opens a little browser window with just the pic in it - do a right click
inside the pic in the browser and choose "Copy" , (c) go to the place in the
email you want it and do a right click and "Paste".
This seems to work ok. I think the size it appears in the email initially
is the same as the size of your little temporary browser window, so you might
want to get that window size right first. (I hope that clarified.)

2. Help. Not sure where to put this plea for info so (while I'm here) ...
Since downloading the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool a few days ago,
MSpaint no longer works - I just get a blank MSpaint window then, after a
little while, one of those "had to close" messages!
Any idea what's going on and how I can get MSpaint back to normal ?

Thanks, Gerry )
