Send protected form documents through firewall

Hi!

Our firewall blocks form documents created with word
because these are password protected and considered as
potentially dangerous.

What is the way to send Word forms through a firewall
without having them blocked?

Would a document certificate help?

We have Word versions installed from Word 97 and up.

Word forms don't have to be password protected, they can
also be protected without using a password.

but have you considered putting them in ZIP files?
