send/receive at startup

Why doesn't my windows e-mail automatically receive new e-mail when I
connect. I have set the function under "tools"; "general" tabs to
send/receive at startup but it still doesn't do it.
suggestions???

This newsgroup is for Access, the Relational Database application that is
part of Microsoft Office. I suggest you try posting your question in a
newgroup for Outlook.
