Send & Receive Box Keeps popping up (Oulook 2003)

Hi,

I have just installed Outlook 2003 - very happy with it so far, like the
look and feel to it.

One small problem though, I have Outlook check for new mail every 3 minutes
and when this happens the Send/Receive Status box keeps popping up and I
don't want this to happen it becomes quite annoying, especially when running
Outlook Minimized and it still pops up every 3 mins.

I have tried to check and uncheck the box marked 'Don't Show this dialog
during Send/Receive' and pushing the pin (in the bottom right hand corner of
the Send/Recieve dialogue box) in and out and still it insists on popping up
every 3 mins.

In an ideal world, I would only like to see the Send/Receive Status box when
I click on 'Send' to send an email - just so that I can verify that the
email has been sent. I wouldn't want to have it appear at any other time.

This was a frequent problem in Outlook 2002. To my knowledge it has not been
reported with Outlook 2003. I've sure never seen it.
Congratulations ;)
As the first to encounter the problem, you'll need to do your best to try to
come up with the steps that will reproduce your problem.
You can also look over the information that applies to Outlook 2002 to see

In addition to what Russ said and as an aside, try upping your send/receive
interval to 10 or more minutes. If you check several accounts, you will
notice that Outlook will start to hurl every so often with no pattern.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
