Every attempt to Send/receive w/ outlook has failed. I am using a POP3
connection. I have deleted my account profile and setup again still with no
success. I tried to use the repair tool without success. I have opened
Outlook Express with success as a temp. solution. However, I would really
like help on how to get Outlook 2003 up running again.

That's not actually the log of anything to do with POP3. What happens when
you try to send/receive? Do you get an error message? If so, what is it?

Task 'pop.charter.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC15) : 'Unable to

Task 'pop.charter.net - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The

If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

Every attempt to Send/receive w/ outlook has failed. I am using a
Same problem here. Comcast broadband connection. It started about 2
weeks ago. I need to shutdown and startup outlook several times and
keep trying send and recieve to check messages. I turned off
firewalls just to see if that was the cause but not change. Outlook
Express, works fine with no timeouts. The problem is just with
Outlook.

Do you get those two errors during the same send/receive, or are they just
two different errors that occur at different times?

It may or may not be the same problem. What sort of errors are you
getting? Do you have any anti-virus software installed.

Jeff, I get both errors at the same time.

Jeff, I have McAfee antivirus software. To no avail, I have already
attempted to turn off all antivirus software in working to fix the problem
with an ISP tech support.

The second error is just a result of the first one, I think - Outlook is
timing out because it can't get a connection to the network. Why that is,
I don't know - it's not an area I'm familiar with. Do you perhaps have
Outlook set to dial a modem to connect, but since you're using broadband
that doesn't work?

Jeff I agree that the second error is the result of the first. I have
outlook set to a LAN connection. Would it be best to just reinstall
Microsoft Outlook?

Guess that's worth a try. I really don't have any better suggestions.
Post back with your results, OK?

SOLUTION FOUND:

After reinstalling software to no avail, I looked at McAfee Firewall. In
the firewall, clicking on internet applications, Microsoft Oulook was
BLOCKED. After allowing full access, success. OUTLOOK 2003 now
send/receives fine. Horray!
