send/receive progress box is missing

The progress box is suddenly missing when I click
send/receive. How can I get it back? I don't have a "show
progress" option in my tools.

I found the way to get the progress box back. When I click
send/receive then I click the lower right of the window it
brought it back.

Which meant you were using Internet Mail Only mode. When you don't include
you version and mail support mode, we can't help you without reading your
mind.
