send/receive when outlook 2003 is opened

How do I get outlook to send/receive automatically when opened. It worked on
my first install but when I had to rebuild my computer it quit working and I
now have to click on the send/receive button. Not a major problem but it is
a major irritation after being used to it doing it automatically.

Go to Tools | Options | Mail Setup. There should be a box to check for "send
immediately when connected"

That box is checked but still no send/receive on startup. There is a box
that allows you to send/receive on exit but how stupid is that? Why would
anyone want to get their new mail on exit?

Go to Tools/Options/Mail Setup, Click on the Send/Receive button and make
sure All Accounts is selected in the big box. In the middle of the page, the
middle option is Schedule an automatic Send/Receive every " " minutes. Make
sure that one is checked and put in a time selection like 3 minutes or 5
minutes, etc. That should solve your problem
