send the file to a mail recipient nothing happens

When I right click on a file and try to send the file to
a mail recipient nothing happens. I tried sending office
file, Exel files and even txt file. I am using outlook
2003 and everything works fine execpt for this. I have
check my internet options and Microsoft is listed as the
default mail client.
