Send to database + Create in FP 2003

Michelle

On clicking the "help" tab in FP 2003, I search on how to create a database
in FP and got the following results in my query:

In Page view, right-click the form, and then click Form Properties.
Click Send to database, and then click Options.
On the Database Results tab, click Create Database.

However, there is no option to click "Send to database".

I assume I have ASP?VBScript and IIS enabled, as I can save pages as .asp.

Can anybody please tell me what to do to create a database in FP?

Thanks

Check your authoring setting to be sure

Tools->Page Options->Authoring tab

In addition to ticking the VBScript and Active Server Pages boxes, you
will need to tick
"Browse-time components" and "Author-time web components"
There isn't an IIS setting in FP2003 (it is there in earlier versions).

All that is done, but there still isn't a "Send to database" option when I
fight click in "form properties".

I'm not quite sure I understand. I have an open web page with a form. I am
right-clicking in the form and clicking on properties, but do not get the
"send to database" option that FP 2003 help referrs to. I only get the
option to store the rersults to a file name, email address and send to other,
which is checked with other being "Custom ISAPI, NSAPI, CGI, or ASP Script"

There is a option in the background "Send to database", but it is greyed
out, so I can't click in it.

You must first open a site in FP, then a page within the current open site.

I do have a site open in FP and I do have an open page, which has a form. I
clicked on fp help and followed the instructions, but the "send to database"
option was greyed out.

Clicking Tools > site settings > database, I get the message "The options on
this tab are unavailable because the active Web site is based on Windows
SharePoint Services. To access database features designed specifically for
Web sites based on Windows SharePoint Services, open the Data menu."

When going to Data > Insert Data View..., I get the message "The FP Data
View features can only be used on servers running Windoes SharePoint
Services."

What options do you have enabled under the authoring tab and are you working on your local PC or the
live/remote server?

What OS is the live/remote server? It must be a Windows IIS web server with ASP enabled.
