"Send to" doesn't pull up e-mail form

A friend just moved to a new system, and on this system selecting a file by
right clicking and going to "send to" and then selecting "mail recipient"
does not open an e-mail form. If the file in question is a picture, the
resize dialog box shows up, but the form never appears. If the file is a
regular file (like a text file), nothing at all happens.

If anyone has fixed a problem like this, I'd love to know how.

Thanks,

Mike

Make sure that the defalt mail program is set. In XP this would be in Default
Programs in the control panel.

Sorry for the late response, but the system had a motherboard problem and we
just got it back. I just tested iot, and Outlook is the default mail program.
I suspected this to be so even before I tested it, because when trying to
send pictures, I get the resize dialog box.

Specifically, I do not get a new mail form when I try to use the "Send to -
mail recipient" from the right-click menu. If it is a picture, I get the
option to resize it, but if I chose a text message, I get nothing.

We usually use MS Word as the default mail editor. Changing the default mail
editor to Outlook didn't make any difference; same problem.

Thanks for your help.
