sending an email to a category of contacts

How do I send an email to a category in contacts?
I have used categories in contacts to identify common
groups of people, and would like to send a common email
to one category. Outlook does not seem to allow me to do
this. I've tried to mail-merge, however this does not
allow me to send my email to a category in my contacts
database. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

Use the By Category view to make it easy to select all the contacts in that
category, then choose Actions | New Message to Contact.

Alternatively, select all the desired contacts, then choose Tools | Mail
Merge to perform a mail merge with those contacts.

I tried this and it works, although it won't send email to the Email2 and
Email3 fields. How can I include these fields when sending to a category?
