Sending and receiving

When I got to send an e-mail (just one) it the bottom it will say something like "sending 1 of 10,235" (or some crazy number like that. I also received a rejection notification saying that an e-mail that I sent to so-and-so was rejected because it contained a virus! The recipient address was (e-mail address removed) and is not an addy that I have ever sent anything to. HELP!!!
