Sending attachments when using mail merge in outlook

I have spent hours trying to create a mail merge email message that includes
an attachment but when i send it the attachment does not get sent! I am using
outlook 2003! Any Ideas?

That's perfectly normal. Mail merge can only send the merge document as an
attachment. It can't attach other files. To do that, you'd need to write code
or use a third-party tool like those listed at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.asp#massmail
