Sending attachments with e-mails in Outlook

I am having problems sending e-mails with an attachment -
word attachment or whatever. They just will not go and
then I have problems sending and receiving and usually
have to restart my computer. Please help.

Could you post more info like Outlook version, mail service being used
(Exchange, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, other...) and the steps you took already to try
to resolve the problem.

Also are the mails not larger than the send limit and is your mailbox below
it's total size limit?
