sending e-mail notification

I read that when we make changes to the project plan it is possible to
republish it and send notification through e-mail to the team members.
I have entered the e-mail id or resources in the resource information dialog
box.
But when I intend to make chande and send notification I am not able to send
mails.
What is the solution?

Did you enter your organization's SMTP information in PWA? Click Admin -
Customize Project Web Access, and thenclick the "Notifications and
reminders" link in the sidepane on the left. Hope this helps.
