sending email status window vanished

I used to get a window that opened showing me what was happening/status while
an email was being sent but suddenly no longer appears -- just get words
"Sending Email" in lower right hand corner and then have to click on it to
get details including whether email went through -nuisance. Did full
anit-virus scan and no problem. Checked Microsoft Knowledge base for hours
but no answer. Checked each button/tab and feature in Outlook Express but
nothing related (only in Tools, Options the Send tab, but nothing in there
creates or removes display of that window stating status while sending
email). I use Outlook Express NOT Outlook BUT think question and answer would
be the same (if anyone can find Outlook Express discussion group please let
me know where it is -- does not seem to be one in list of discusssion
groups). Recently updated both Ad Aware softaware and Antivirus software,
but the window showing status while email message being sent was still
working for a day after those updates completed. Does anyone have any
suggestions on how to make that window appear again??? In addition to

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

account will be deleted without reading.
