Sending emails

Whenever I go to send an email in Office it never sends it. It goes to my
outbox like its getting ready to be sent but won't actually send it. Can
someone please help?

Any errors? When happpens when you click Send/Receive? What version of
Outlook? What type of account?

Is Outlook actually running at the time you send the e-mail? Or are you
using a mailto: URL link to compose a new message and then send it?
Outlook must be fully open to do the send. If you only open the compose
window (by using a mailto: link, for example), only a stub of Outlook
loads sufficient to handle the composing. When you click Send, that
stub unloads which means there is no longer anything of Outlook running
to do the sending.

Are you in Outlook when you see the item in the Outbox folder? When you
double-click on that item in the Outbox folder and click the Send
button, do you get an error in the progress dialog?

How big is the e-mail that you are trying to send?

WHICH version of Outlook are you using?
