Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Hi,
I have been running 2 exchange accounts on Entourage for 3 months. No problems at all. All mail was sending and everything syncing fine. Now the following is occurring from the original account.

-Cannot send 'new mails'. i.e i am the originating thread
-Can reply to all mails and forward mail, mostly
-everything else is syncing ok
-sent mail is appearing in my sent items just not being received
-I contacted my exchange support but i can send just fine when logged in with webmail so its not their problem
-tried deleting second account but problem of sending mail still persists with original account
-tried re installing software, no change

I am really desperate to get this sorted out as its effecting my business. Any help very much appreciated

Try Control-Clicking your Inbox in the folder list and choosing Folder
Properties > Empty Cache.

Another option is to select the Inbox and select "Synchronize Now".

This can take quite a long time depending on the folder size and your
connection speed.

If you ever have problems with the calendar syncing you can use this same
method to refresh.

1. Right-click the Calendar in the folder list on the left and select
Folder Properties.

2. Click the Empty button to empty the local Entourage cache. It will
immediately begin synchronizing. "

I have cleared the cache a dozen times already. In fact, I have emptied the cache for the whole account but still get no sent messages. They appear in my sent message folder in both entourage and webmail but do not arrive at their destination. I have been in touch with my exchange support and they tell me its a local problem. There is nothing wrong with my settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, be great if you have some other answers!

Try creating a new Identity in Entourage. Enter your account info and see if
that will sync properly.

Diane,
I'm afraid all the entourage demons have some back. I need to speak with someone who knows what they're doing with this. Does anyone please have any advice? My cal is now not syncing, with the new account ID. mails are either arriving or not, thought it was down to a signiture, seems i was wrong. I'm using 2 microsoft products that simply do not work together. Even the above answers seem to be a work around. I'm in a position where my business is really suffering due to poor customer service. My server provider advised me to use exchange with entourage on a MAC and now he's saying thats the problem. Quite frankly i'm appalled at MS on this.

Not everyone is having this problem. Connection issues are the most
difficult to diagnosis because they involve so many individual settings.

Did you turn on Sync Services in the new Identity?

If the Microsoft Sync daemon never launches, there's no way for Entourage to
sync data with Sync Services. The preferences in Entourage for Sync Services
basically control 1) if this daemon app is launched and 2) where it should
sync data to-from.

You might need to reset Sync Services.

Troubleshoot Sync Services: reset sync services and start fresh

I'm not sure how to eliminate your service provider as part of the problem.

Hi Diane,
Thanks again for the advice. One problem i have worked out is that exchange does not like an image in your signature. When I removed this all tests worked out ok. I've not synced the accounts again yet as i dont think this is the problem. All sent messages appear where they should be, cal invites seem ok at the moment. Difficulty is i dont have much confidence in it right now, so I BC a webmail account on every message to make sure its going somewhere. If it goes there it must be going to my recipient email box too? I'll keep you posted and thanks for the help so far. If anyone uses images in the signiture for entourage to exchange 2003, remove it. It will cause you problems.
