I created an html file (in Front Page) - <name>.htm and
ftp'd that to our hosting server.
I then wanted to send this as an html email via outlook
so I created a new message in outlook with HTML format.
I inserted a "picture" and in properties said the location
reference was the http://www......<name>.htm
In outlook all you saw was the image icon.
Message sent out and the following was viewable:
Reading the received message via AOL. 9.0 software - got
the html file and it was formatted exactly right as is the
hosted <name>.htm file.
Yahoo mail via the interent, i.e. went to www.yahoo.com,
looked into mail account - read mail - good HTML formt.
However, when reading the AOL received message via AOL
webmail, i.e. www.aol.com, login screen name + password -
view mail - the email opened but only the picture icon
showed.
Same when downloading from my work account to Outlook
2002. viewed only picture icon - nothing else, no
attachment, nothing.
Why would Yahoo web mail and AOL 9.0 software allow the
same sent message to be viewed in the <name>@htm format
but not AOL webmail or download to Outlook ?
Any thoughts ?
Thanks. Julie
