Sending message problem

Steve

An email that I received had a return receipt requested. For some reason the
info that I have entered into Outlook is incorrect so it will not send out
email, but I can receive it (I am working on getting this corrected).

But since I am having problems sending email, it keeps trying to send it but
it can not and it keeps displaying a message telling me that it can not send
the message. How can I cancel it from trying to send this return receipt?

Thanks!

Thanks,
This error is usually related to the server or something blocking the
smtp server.
Try the following
Disable anti-virus and firewall
Verify the account settings are correct
Also try a different account to see if you can send. The ISP may be having
some issues currently.

Cheers

so lets say that i have the wrong settings, is there someway to cancel this
message from trying to be sent?

this is not an email, but a return receipt message.

Just go to the outbox and delete from there. this shouldn't be a problem
since it errors before it sends

That's the thing, there is nothing in the outbox. it is not a regular email,
but some kind of return receipt.

I am having exactly the same problem. Here is the error
message. I want to delete this from the queue since I no
longer need to send it. Please tell me what I need to do
because this error is getting annoying.

Many thanks,

Rich

The message could not be sent because one of the
recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail
address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Fw:
IMPORTANT NUMBERS additions please copy and paste:',
Account: 'incoming.verizon.net',
Server: 'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '550 Invalid recipient:
