Sending pictures only number of tasks increase

Using Microsoft Outlook Express 2002 when sending attachments, progress show
it is sending but messages don't go out of outbox (text messages do) and
number of tasks just keeps increasing until eventually error 0x800C8105
occurs but outlook never actually stops just keeps trying to send

try a new profile with new email account settings. Disable any anti-virus
integration that might be enabled.

This has stopped the recurring tasks and messagesare going but what do I do
with antivirus protection? I use zonelabs security.

As long as you continue to run an antivirus real-time (or on-access)
scanner, you are just as safe. It is the email scanning that causes the
problem.
