Sending reply emails from default account instead of account wassent to

Hi,

I can't work out why, when I reply to a message, it always does so from my
default account rather than the account the email was originally sent to. I
have checked the Reply & Forward Preferences and the check box which states
"Reply using the default account" is NOT checked, so why is it?

I recently transferred from Apple Mail over to Entourage and this problem is
enough to drive me back!

I have Entourage version 11.3.6 and use an iBook G4 with OSX 10.4.11 on it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

It sounds like the preference isn't sticking. Use "Switch Identity" under
Entourage in the menu bar and create a new Identity. Test the problem in the
new Identity. (you might want to drag a few test messages to the desktop
from your regular Identity for testing in the new Identity). Does the
problem go away? If yes, then this indicates a problem in your database and
you need to do a rebuild. If not, then you need to test in a new User. Go to
System Preferences and create a new User. Test in the new User. If the
problem does not go away then apply the latest Apple combo updater. If it
does go away then this indicates a problem in your Users folder.
