Sending Reported Error.

Ok, I've been every troubleshooter I could find and have had no luck. When
trying to send an email, error that pops up: 'The messaging interface has
returned unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.' Have done
this several times. When trying to receive emails, no emails are received
(yet shows that is trying to download), error: 'Sending reported error,
0x8004060C. Unknown error 0x800460C.'

We are running a pop3 email account, on Win XP Pro, using Outlook XP.

Any ideas besides re-installing Outlook?

I have not heard of that error before, hopefully someone else has. Has this
error started recently? Has anything changed?

Just started last evening when replying to an email from a customer. The
email reply had attachments put in it. Have tried to delete attachments and
resend without them, but still get these errors.

Yes, there are two of them. Receiver said he actually received 6 of them but
they won't delete out of outbox; when we send and receive, shows 4 emails are
trying to download but do not show up anywhere. Also shows that the 2 emails
are being sent and put a date in sent column but they never go.

My suggestion in that case is take Outlook offline and delete the items from
your Outbox then.

Already tried that, didn't work....

Tried running the command line and still cannot get messages to delete.

Thank you for all your help, got the problem fixed. Had to create a new
profile and manually move the folders (all except outbox) to the new profile.
Email is now working great. Not sure what happened but at least I got it
solved.
