sending word attachments

When I attach a word document and send to another Mac (or even pc sometimes) The recepient tells me they can't open it because it is a mime document. Help

The problem is with the manner in which your email software is encoding the
attachment. Somewhere in its settings or Preferences the program should have
options from which to select - check the email program's Help. If you're
using the services of a web mail feature (Google, Yahoo, your ISP) you may
have limitations, but their tech support would be the place to check.

In the meanwhile you might try zipping the file before attaching - a good
habit to get into regardless.
