Sendkeys statement in Project 98

D

David Aubrey

I'm trying to use the sendkeys statement to open a project
from a project database. It accepts the first part of the
string "%fo" but the ignores the rest of the sendkeys
statement.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Using sendkeys is not recommended. If you send a long string to the PC then
someone swaps to a different program just as the macro starts processing the
sendkeys input, remaining keystrokes will run on the newly activated app.
This could be damaging to your health!!

Instead, record a macro of you opening a project from the source you want
and edit it as required afterwards. The end result looks better, runs better
and is far safer.
