sening emails - shows 'sending 1 of 45'

I have noticed that when I send an email and clicking on send/recieve I get a
message showing the progress of the transmission on the bottom right hand
corner showing - 'sending 1 of 44'.
the problem being that i am only sending one email. Why does it show 1 of
45? or whatever number it makes up?

Could it be that you have some stuck read receipts?
