Senior Citizen but a Baby to Frontpage....How do I..??

Frank Schoenfelder

Hi, group. Listen, as a boy I used to beg ice chips from the ice
deliveryman! Can you smart youngsters please help an old man? I got a web
server, stuck a "template" on it, bought FrontPage 2002. Now I want to build
and publish. How do I get my 2002 version to publish right over that
template I have sitting on the webserver? I have not been able to work
through instructions to have a clear understanding of this...... And I ask
for your patience, please, my wife tells me I am in the early stages of
dementia.

Thanks...
Frank

What do you mean "stuck a template on it?"
Where? How? What template?

Frank, are you using one of the free sites where they furnish a
template to build your page? If so, Front Page won't like you!!

Hey..........Tom and Murray....(as the "kids"{anyone under 40} say)...waz
up....? LOL....!!
O.K., here's the scoop. I went with Bravenet but on a PAID service basis and
not a "freeby". I just picked one of their "templates" and published it to
my URL and that is it.
When I read over much of this instruction material for FrontPage
2002...some I understand and some I do not. Without going into a complete
mumbo jumbo of the "it's and wherefores", I am having trouble figuring out
how to build offline and then publish. When I go to publish the program
gives me all sorts of notices about needing some sort of files (on the web
server I presume) before I can do so.

Murry........Tom.....AND OTHERS.
When I told you guys I needed something so I could "Publish" my offline
created webpage for my URL.........the FrontPage Pgm 2002 Tells This:
"require that the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions be installed on the
server where your Web is published."

Does that help????

If bravenet supports FrontPage in any version they must be keeping it
a secret, because I found no reference to it. You need to ask them if
they support FrontPage 2002. If they do ask them to turn it on for
your account.

who is forgetting it all at 75 :-(
