sent folder has stopped keeping messages in outlook

None of the sent messages go into the sent folder this problem started this
am and I tried all the corrections

Select Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Advanced E-mail Options,
ensure you have the option "In folders other than Inbox, save replies with
original message" ticked off.

Had the same problem, just started now and the fixes above do not work.
