sent items

I'm a new user to outlook 2003. Does anyone know how to
change the folder where sent mail is stored to another
folder. Is there a setting somewhere that can be
changed? I'd like to change it to a folder on the web
server rather than the default folder on my computer.

Cheers

New mail will always be saved in Sent Items. Replies to messages in the
Inbox will always be saved in Sent Items. There is another option
(Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options) that will save
replies to messages in folders other than Inbox in the folder where the
message resides.

Folders aren't individual files. All folders reside within the same message
store. If your your default delivery location is an Exchange server, then
all your default folders (Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, etc.) are there.
If your default delivery location is a Personal Folders file, then all those
default folders are contained within the exact same file and cannot be
individually moved elsewhere.

The closest you can some to what you wish to do is to create another PST in
the location you wish and create a rule to place a copy of the sent mail
into a folder on that other PST.
