Sent messages not being stored in Outbox

Outbox

Not sure why my sent emails are no longer appearing in my outbox. Can anyone
suggest to me what might be the problem?

They stay in the Outbox only long enough to get transmitted. Then they're
either deleted or moved to the Sent Items folder.
