I am running Office 2000 with all the updates (prior to
Sept 3, 2003 Security Patches) installed.
While update site reports all patches successfully
installed, during installation receive numerous error
messages, "cannot find MSO7FTP.exe, MS07FTPA.exe, etc.
Also error message for cannot find entry point?
The MSO files are for FrontPage, which I have never
installed.
Once installed, every time I open an office program it
goes through and "updating routine"??? saying it's
updating SR-1. Everything works, but having this update re-
appear constantly is a large nuisance.
Again, Office Update site claims the installations are
successful even though I get the error messages and files
not found. Fortunately I have an image of the disk, so I
am able to return the computer to its previous state as
there is no uninstall for this security patch.
I have tried this security update several times without
any improvement of the result. Anyone... any ideas????
