My husband wiped out our hard drive to clear some problems caused by a virus
we had. However, in doing so, he removed my MSWorks software. When I
reinstall it, natually I need the seial number to proceed. We bought it a
few years ago and I do not have the serial number any longer. What do I do?
I don't want to buy the software again, I have all the disks right here. Who
do I call?

You're asking in a Microsoft Office newsgroup, so here is the Microsoft
Office answer:

If you have an OEM version of Office that was preinstalled by your
computer's manufacturer, then you will have to contact your computer's
manufacturer for a new product key. If you purchased a retail version of
Office from a conventional or online retailer, then see

for Office Program Setup".
