Serious Level Issues

This is different from my other Level Question.

Follow these steps to repeat
1) Open Blank Project
2) Set Level to Manual
3) Create Task 1, Resource "a", Date 12/14/09 to 12/21/09, Priority 500
4) Create Task 2, Resource "a" Date 12/15/09, Priority 600
5) Manual Level (on a sidenote I have to do it twice for some reason, thats
in my other forum question)
6) In the Gantt window, drag Task 2 to 12/18/09
7) Create Task 3, Date 12/14/09, No Resource
8) Delete Task 3
At this point my Task 1 jumps to Start on 12/18/09 automatically (even
though I'm set to manual and not sure why it would move anyhow even it was
set to Auto)
Then I have to Manual Level twice in a row to fix it back to the date I set
in Step 3.
Not sure why I'm suddenly seeing all these problems now EXCEPT for the fact
that I installed MS Project Beta 2010 BUT not as an upgrade. It's separate
so I can choose either version. I wonder if they are sharing files.

Anyone???

Koolkat,

I can't say for sure that Project 2010 Beta is the cause of the
issue. However, if this has just started occurring and you just
installed Project 2010 beta, I suggest removing Beta, repairing
Project 200?? and trying again.

Project 2010 Beta is just that, and installing it to a "production"
machine is likely unwise.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
