seriously getting rid of the macro warning

J

Jeffrey

All,

This question has come up on here before, and I'm sorry to have to ask for
clarification in a separate thread. I have no add-ins running, and I have
disabled all macros without warning.

I can't type in the equation editor without getting a macro warning every
time I type a letter and it doesn't even show up, meaning I cannot do
anything until these macro warnings are gone for good.

I don't want macros running. Ever. I didn't install them when I installed
Office a couple weeks ago. Please help me make this incessent warning go
away permenantly. I'm capable of editing the registry if that's necessary.

I'm running Windows 7 RC, Office 2007 Enterprise. Both are genuine and
fully updated.

All,

Apparently if you don't install macros when you install Office, you can't
disable the warning I described. The setting in the Trust Center about
disabling macros and all warnings must be about something else, although it
would be nice to have it disable the macro warning I described.

I reconfigured my Office installation and enabled VBA, and that obnoxious
warning went away. Hardly a good fix, but at least I'm not getting furious
at the Equation Editor anymore.
